some springtime activities

its been warming up out here in texas.  we've been enjoying the nice, but not too hot weather.

usually i work on wednesday mornings (when the library has story time), but we've had the chance to make it to the library a couple of times this month before they stop story time for the summer.  we made these cute ducks this week.  isaac says 'kak' for the duck when he sees it.

isaac found the eyes to their ducks simply irresistible, so he went ahead and ripped off all but one between the two ducks.

we been enjoying frisbee wednesdays.  ryan plays frisbee with a bunch of residents.  several residents families come to the park as well.  cody and owen have a great time playing together.  they called and called for tara (owen's mom) to come see how they had piled all these rocks on top of the big rock and wouldn't rest until she'd documented it with a picture.

we have also been enjoying lots of great fruits and vegetables this spring.  we love picking up a bountiful basket every other week and seeing what kind of new fruits and vegetables we'll find.

we've be pleasantly surprised a what a veggie lover cody is.  he had three helping of salad this day!  i had to take a picture to document in case he ever decides to tell us he doesn't like it anymore.

this weekend was pretty busy.  father's and sons camp out was friday night.  ryan took just cody this time and isaac and i hung out at home.

i tried to tell ryan before he left to take some pictures.  this is the one and only picture he came back with....no i take that back, there's one more of the fire from further away...

i stole this picture from someone else who had posted it on facebook of ryan, george, and scott.  it sounds like they had a really great time and cody asks to go camping again all the time.

on saturday, my doterra team did a booth at conroe kidzfest.  callie and nathaly manned the booth in the morning and jenn and i took over in the afternoon.  we had aromatherapy playdough which was a huge success!  it was such a fun event.

ryan picked me up from kidzfest and we went straight over to date night with our friends.  they couldn't find a babysitter for the night, so we brought all the kids along this time.  we ate pizza and played at the park until it started getting dark.  then we headed over to the turner's house for some games.  the kids were relatively good and played/watched a movie in one of the other rooms.  date night definitely isn't the same with kids around though.

extra fun news though:  nicole called us on our way home from date night to tell us that she wants to fly out for a visit next weekend.  can't wait!
