we've been enjoying a few new things around here lately.
cody tried out ants on a log. we get lots of celery in our bountiful baskets (or maybe it just seems like a lot since we don't eat it much), so we thought we'd try and eat it a bit more. he ate it that time, but hasn't been even slightly interested in having it again - and to say this kid loves raisins is a HUGE understatement!
we have been to h.e.b. before, but we decided to venture there again after a long, long time away. it was all like new for cody and isaac. they loved the car cart where they could sit together up high where they could see, they loved the plethora of samples....
they loved the buddy bucks machine where cody won an instant winner and they both got a mixing spoon, pencil, and folder from it! definitely worth going there from time to time for the entertainment and snacking factors.
isaac has started helping out with setting the table. he likes to get the plates and forks out for him and cody. you can see he knows just where everything should go....
we decided it was about time for isaac to get out of his infant carseat and into a big boy car seat. i pulled it out of the box and he settled himself right in, insisting on buckles and all. i don't think it'll be a hard transition at all.
some friends gave us some plant starts that they didn't end up using. we already had some tomatoes, so we let cody plant this one. he dug a very small hole, put the plant in it, patted it into a little hill (like he's seen his dad do), and then put the popsicle stick in as deep as he could push it. shockingly, this one didn't survive.
isaac has discovered our santa costume. he brings it to me on a daily basis and then wears it everywhere. he even wore it down the babysitter's house one morning when it was cool. now we just need to work on his 'ho ho' like cody used to say :)
