around my birthday, i found a great deal on tickets to see pentatonix (and kelly clarkson - who may or may have not been the top billed performer). the last concert i saw was elton john in wyoming when i was about 12, so it was about time to see something new!
david and julie split a four pack of tickets with us and we met up in the woodlands for the concert.
maddie jo made me some cupcakes for my birthday. they were a delicious treat after the picnic that we'd brought.
the first performer was terribly forgettable...and pretty terrible. but the second, eric hutchinson, was really good. i was surprised that i actually knew some of his songs.
the best part of the night was definitely ptx. they were phenomenal. even live they sounded totally in tune and great!
since we were really there to see ptx, kelly clarkson was a bit of a let down. she sounded great, but i didn't feel like she was quite as good of an entertainer. we ended up leaving a couple songs early so we could beat the crowds.
