if we even thought these boys might miss us while we were gone for 9 days, we were wrong. grandma berta took such good care of them and they had so much fun. we could hardly even get them to miss us long enough for much of a chat on facetime :)
we dropped the boys off at david and julie's on our way out of town since grandma's arrival time was a bit later than we had to leave. she stayed the night there and then brought all the kids up to our house for a few days. quite a car full!
no visit with the cousins is complete without fashionable dressing
in preparation for a tea party
even after the girls went back home, grandma berta had projects and activities galore.
i think the most talked about was the painting of the plane and helicopter. i may or may not ever even think about pulling out paint...
cody had preschool while we were gone and roz sent us this cute picture of the baking they did
they dyed macaroni noodles for necklaces and melted crayons to do rubbings.
they had some fancy snacks
and built quite a train.
but the biggest event of the week was the potty training!
we've been working a little with isaac on potty training for a while, but grandma comes for a week and its done! so proud of that potty boy and his new 'big boys.'
we made it back to spend a little time with grandma before she headed back to arizona. cody got ahold of her phone and took a few pictures.
bonnie wore this cute dress that caitlin wore when she was a baby for church on sunday.
before she left, bonnie and i took grandma out for a girls' pedicure outing. definitely a fun thing to do at the end of a long week!
we sure are grateful for a wonderful grandma who was able and willing to come out and take care of our boys so we could focus on the interviews. we didn't have to worry about a thing and they didn't hardly even miss us for the fun they had with grandma.
