we left price after some breakfast and drove up to logan. we stopped at grandma garrett's for lunch and then headed off to bear lake. we got to the campground just after beth's family. once we got the tents set up, we explored the koa where we were staying.
there was a pool near the front, a playground, giant chess, a bouncing pillow, and giant chairs to lounge in. there were bikes to rent, a shake shop, and miniature golf. we came back after dinner for shakes, but didn't try the golf or bikes.
it is so fun to watch cody, isaac, and bonnie have fun with their cousins.
the next morning, we headed down to a beach beth and chris like to go to at bear lake. we had our pick of spots and stayed until after lunch. it was a beautiful day and we all had a great time.
beth handled all the meal planning and food buying, so we were quite spoiled and ate super well.
the best part about having a few older nieces is that i hardly have anything to do since they loved keeping track of my kids. i didn't even ever get into the water but just enjoyed the cool breeze and watching the kids play.
we got back to camp and had just enough time for dinner before a huge windstorm came through. we only thought our tents would blow away a couple of times. luckily it passed before bedtime - which was a bit rough trying to get bonnie to pick her sleeping bag or the pack-n-play and finally go to sleep!
we all left the campground early sunday morning. annie went to rock springs with beth's family and i headed back to logan with the kids. we got there just barely in time for grandma's church and to spend a couple of days visiting with her.
i got a couple of interesting pictures from ryan while we were gone....
apparently his parents came up to visit since we were gone. ryan and his dad were up in the attic doing something and ryan stepped wrong....right through the ceiling. don't worry, it was patched and painted before we got home.
