varga reunion day 3

day 3 was probably the most relaxed and informal.  we started off with geocaching.  we broke into two teams and raced in opposite directions to find three geocaches in the area we were staying.

we met in the middle for the second one and found it all together.

the varga/varga (brothers) team was fastest to finish of course.

with the little down time in the morning, nicole and i took a good walk to the post office and grocery store.  we talked to some of the locals and found out where the best raspberry shakes are - the chevron station.  ryan and i did them for our treat that night.

we had down time each afternoon, so the burklunds took kids out on the lake again

and when they came back we pulled out the pinata.

ryan and i were in charge of dinner that night, so i didn't get to see all the action.  we had an overabundance of chips and junk, so i made a good veggie tray and had fruit - it was gone so fast!

after dinner, we tried out a game of dad-jokes where you try to get the other person to laugh.  the kids were all too young to get any of the jokes and the adults are too stonefaced to laugh, so despite some super funny jokes....it was a little dull

and just a few random moments from all days:

the house was four split levels.  the downstairs family room pretty much always looked like this, except there were usually 6 boys and a girl climbing all over (you can see a few heads).

aunt aubrey brought some bubble guns to entertain the kids on the last morning so we could get our cleaning list done and load up.

wink?

we had a bunch of water balloon fun one afternoon.  we started with a gentle tossing game

and of course moved quickly into a full on fight.

culminating with the cooler being dumped on grandpa.

these two a little bit loved when the other boys were occupied so they could have a little fun on a smaller scale.

and cody, of course, is always up for a little reading time.

we had a great time with the varga's - playing games, being outside, going to the lake, eating yummy food, and just hanging out.  can't wait for the next go around in 2019!
