dino park

we knew when we planned the time we'd be in utah that we'd want to have just a bit of time with our little family between all the family and friend time, so we planned a trip to the dinosaur park in logan before we went to the varga reunion at bear lake (again).

bonnie was not too fond of these moving dinosaurs, but cody thought they were great.

i told the kids to act like t-rex was coming after them...

we walked in and out of all different paths to find the dinosaurs.  it was fun to quiz cody, but he got a little tired of it and just wanted to look around.

they had a whole row of dino footprints.  so fun to see how big they were!

this picture isn't so much to do with the dino park as to remember that for months, any time bonnie crosses a bridge she says 'trip trap, trip trap' like in the three billy goats gruff.  we often have to go out of our way to try out a new bridge for her.

there was a great, huge playground after our walk, but we were pretty ready for some air conditioning (read: i was very ready for some air conditioning!).  there was a little building with activities for kids.  bonnie and isaac created geodes.

and then isaac created a dinosaur with his scraps.

we were all pretty hungry after the dino park, so we found a place called freddy's where we could have some good frozen yogurt after some lunch.

we went from there back through the canyon to bear lake, round 2.
