cruise day 5 - roatan

our days off the boat were all in a row, so next we got off in roatan honduras next.

we had a while to wait in line before our tour bus came.

i tried several times to get a good picture of the whole boat for the boys to see.

i couldn't believe how green roatan is!  against the beautiful blue ocean its a little surreal.

our excursion for the day was snuba (like a mix between scuba and snorkeling).  our air was on these little boats that we were tethered to.

luckily sean and nicole had an underwater camera that they handed off to our guide, so he got some pictures for us.

if he could get our attention at the right time, he'd show us fun stuff like this lobster climbing out of his cave.

there were so many awesome colorful fish

sean and nicole both had issues with their weights (like sean's falling out and nicole happening to find it on the ocean floor).

it was such a fun experience.  ryan and i ran out of air first and our guide hooked us up to more.  running out of air once kinda freaks you out and my mouth was super tired from biting down on the mouth piece, so i didn't stay under much again.  we had to swim and pull our boats back to the shore after everyone's air ran out.

we had a long afternoon to fill, so we went off in search of iguana for the boys to eat...no luck.  we also did a lot of shopping along the way.  we found a cute little dress for bonnie and mahogany boats and honduran money for cody and isaac.

i also found some beautiful pottery that i got to thank my parents for watching our kids while we were gone and a little honduran nativity set.

we went back to the boat earlier than we'd planned since we didn't find any food.  we did a little more swimming and hung around on the top deck.  we had a bit of excitement as a couple of people didn't make it back to the boat on time after their excursion.  the boat actually pulled away before we saw them pull up.  luckily the captain was nice enough to go back in to port and pick them up (we were only a few hundred yards away).

the pre-dinner show was this guy who supposedly does these amazing impressions that they can't hardly get cuz he's so busy in vegas and doing other shows.....i'd say let him stick to vegas.  there was only one impression that i even recognized - and that was after he told us who he was impersonating!

dinner was a fun night.  we got all dressed up fancy and had someone take our pictures.  it felt a little like prom, but with no dancing.
