its seems like most of our july was the fourth of july trip and our cruise, but we did have a few things in between. after a full month in our new house, i finally found the box that had our recipes in it! i looked everywhere and thought i'd looked in every box, but it was literally the second to last box that could even be opened where i finally found it. we have been missing our recipes dearly!
bonnie loves all things phone (or anything that could even slightly resemble a phone) lately. she will pick up almost anything, put it to her ear and say 'wo'
home depot can just get so darn exhausting! and trust me, we've been spending our fair share plus a bunch more time there the past few weeks. its amazing how many things you need to buy when you're taking care of your own house! (she didn't actually fall asleep, but she looked like she about could)
my parents found this great park to take the kids to while we were gone.
i guess this was bonnie's favorite activity. walking up the stairs like a big girl instead of on her hands and knees.
we walk down to the mail box pretty often to get out of the house for a bit. bonnie has taken to waving from the stroller - even when there is no one around. so friendly...
we've been doing a lot of work trying to get the yard in shape - cutting down small trees, pulling out grass and weeds, fixing sprinklers, etc. ryan and the boys found this little friend in the front yard. he just seems so fat and jolly :)
isaac also found this blue bug and insisted that i take a picture to send to grandma berta to see what kind of bug it is.
in all my grass pulling (to try and contain the grass where it belongs), i discovered this! what a fun path! i felt a bit like an archaeologist digging for artifacts.
we finally pulled out our hummingbird feeder after its three year break while we were in texas. i figured it would take a few days to see any hummingbirds, but within an hour we had a couple and by the next morning we had about nine or ten flitting around. i had no idea the could be so territorial! its been fun to hear their chatter outside the dining room while we're eating.
