a few of out latest projects

we have had this beast of an entertainment center taking up a huge amount of space in our garage for three and a half months now.  it belonged to the previous owner.  we agreed to give him a little time to try to sell it.  obviously that didn't happen and he stopped replying to our messages, so we decided to just sell it and a few other things from around the house that he'd left.

some friends from our ward took it off our hands.  hard to believe how much space there is in our garage now!

ryan hasn't been able to park in the garage with all the bikes and stuff in the way, but now there's room for two cars!  yay!!

isaac loves his 'grandpa shoes' and i found a great deal for some online.  we ended up getting him two different sizes, but they were huge for him.  we stopped at a dollar store in taylor one morning and found these perfect fits for $2!  hopefully they'll last until the next size.

we're moving along in getting the downstairs rooms ready for painting.  i pulled down all of the wallpaper border in bonnie's room one day.  there was a bit of a learning curve for getting it off easily and i'm definitely glad it was just a border and not all the walls!

the guest room is where i've been wanting to paint since day one.  i just can't stand the orange and baby blue combination - even for a playroom as it seemed to be when we looked at the house!

taping and prepping the room took about all morning and then a neighbor watched isaac and bonnie while i painted.  ryan picked them all up when cody finished school and i got the whole room done.  farewell ugly colors!  i suppose i need to take some 'after' pictures to compare!

while i was prepping the room, isaac borrowed my screw driver.  he ran into the room and said, 'mom, i drew bonnie!'

here's a different kind of project....isaac's learning to ride his bike with training wheels a bit better (instead of the tricycles).  he's slowly getting better.  the first few times he rode to go pick up cody, he had to walk it down the big hill and cody rode it up the hill on the way home.  now isaac can use the brakes well enough to go down the hill and can ride all the way up by himself!  getting strong legs, kiddo.
