thursday morning we headed over to the wildlife world zoo.
we saw a sign at the entrance that the penguin feeding was coming soon, so we headed that direction. we had to take a stop at the flamingos (or thamangos as isaac calls them)
there were lots of birds at this zoo. isaac and ryan each found cool feathers and carried them around most of the day.
there were a few places to feed the animals, but we (mostly me) picked to feed the giraffes (they're my favorite). we had to reach pretty far over the railing, so the boys couldn't really feed them. i sure had fun doing it though!
we found and eac fighting gila monster
isaac sat down by the lizard and said 'don't worry lizard. you don't have to be lonely. i'll sit by you'
he's such a sweet little friend.
the boys got to choose one ride to do at the park. isaac chose the carousel. bonnie and i rode the zebra
and isaac picked a horse. it wasn't super busy, so we had our pick of any animals we could possibly desire.
it was a lot of walking to see everything we wanted to see, so we had some tired kiddos before lunch. a little food helped, but isaac had to take a break in the stroller for a while.
cody picked the train for his ride. lucky for bonnie, she got to ride both rides for free.
once we were all totally exhausted, we drove back to the mesa side of the valley to go to annie's house. ryan took the boys swimming. cody didn't want his life jacket, but bonnie wanted to make sure it got used i guess.
annie got a babysitter so we could go to the temple that night. it was my first time doing a session at the gilbert temple. it is huge and so beautiful. in the morning we ran a few errands around the valley before we headed home. it was quite an action packed couple of days!
