i couldn't quite figure out how to get the kids to do matching costumes this year, but i ended up having a lot of fun figuring out how to make each costume.
isaac was a fire fighter
my favorite part was the suspenders!
bonnie was boo from monster's inc. this was about the best picture i could manage of her with little mikey.
cody was harry potter.
he got to wear his costume the earliest since a girl from his kindergarten class invited him to a birthday/costume party. it was his first birthday party and i'd say it was a great success. it sounds like they all had a great time.
isaac had a little halloween party at the end of preschool, so they got to wear their costumes to class. miss brittaney had some really fun games set up.
bonnie couldn't turn down a couple of little donuts from the eat a donut off a hanging string game.
not long after we got home for the day, i found isaac like this on the couch. i can't think that i've ever seen him fall asleep like that without being sick! halloween parties are sure exhausting.
friday was the fall festival at linden elementary. the kids and i went to help out. it was so fun to see all the kids in their costumes. we were station in a classroom to do a fishing game. luckily trinity and her two boys were there with us so isaac, colt, and conner could play in the back together.
i got to sneak out and see cody play pie face with mr. adams (another friend from nau and eac days).
yesterday we went to chet and shelly's for dinner. she made cookies for the kids to decorate for dessert.
they turned out pretty cute!
this morning i made ghost pancakes for breakfast.
bonnie kept saying 'ooooo. pooty!!' (spooky). she's got ghost, spooky and pumpkin down. i'll miss hearing those fun halloween words!
isaac and i prepped all the pumpkins during bonnie's nap so we could carve them when dad got home from work. bonnie's had a heart top (one of her favorite shapes to find) and was an owl on the front.
cody wanted a werewolf, so i printed a pattern off for it.
isaac said he wanted 'this face' (his). not too bad right?
for dinner we had black spaghetti. the kids all loved it, but ryan couldn't quite stomach it. cody said it looked like worms.
here's our pumpkins in their lighted glory.
we had planned to go to the pinedale fire station for a little carnival they were doing, but it was a rough afternoon. we settled for trick-or-treating to about five houses in our neighborhood before we came home and went right to bed!
