school pictures came in. cody was a little worried about his little scab showing on his neck in the pictures. i told him to wear and polo and then have mrs. miller just pull his collar up a little before the pictures. he told me he asked her to button his shirt all the way up. not quite what i meant, but he looks great still.

my favorite line of the school year so far came a few weeks ago when a new student came:
mom, we have a new kid in class. his name's franklin, but he's not a turtle.
