great grandma!

monday morning, we pulled away from beth's house in rock springs and headed up to logan to visit great grandma.  we stopped in syracuse on the way and visited grandpa's grave.  marianne and i spent many afternoons playing and picnicking in this graveyard when we were little, so it was fun to go back and visit.

grandpa about three weeks before isaac was born, so i wasn't able to attend the funeral.  i was so happy to stop and tell my boys a little bit about their great grandpa.

cody wanted to put a flower in the vase by the grave, so we found one in the grass. 

isaac must have really liked the idea because he proceeded to find every flower within walking distance to add :)

she had lots of fun toys inside as well.  amazingly, or not so amazingly, those are the only two pictures i took at her house!  we had a great time.  we even got to see my great aunt marilyn who was going down to st george with grandma the next day.

tuesday morning, we got up early and grandma dropped us off at the airport.  mom got us a little cart to carry all our bags (since i came home with more than i left with) and car seats.  i can't believe i didn't think to get one on our way to arizona!  it was so much easier than carrying everything and keeping track of two boys!

isaac was exhausted by the time the plane took off.  i watched his head start to droop and snuck his monkey in as a pillow just in time.  luckily on every leg of our flying, we had an extra seat for isaac so he didn't have to sit on my lap all the time.

cody was still pretty nervous for the last flight of our trip - it 'scared his breath' just like the others.  he was very brave and didn't cry on the last flight.  he just wanted to hold hands and was ok.

as we landed in houston, cody held isaac's hands to keep from getting scared.  isaac doesn't usually like to hold hands, so it was extra special. 

our friend maddison picked us up in houston and took us home.  we only had to wait another hour or so for ryan to get home.  we sure missed our daddy while we were gone for nearly three weeks!  he was working nights, so it was nice to be away with the crazy schedule, but we still missed having him with us!!
