the boys had a great time with grandma and beth's family. it was so fun to have a few days away for the convention and not have to worry about whether the boys were doing ok. there was no doubt that they would love a visit with their cousins.
they had a tea party, with fancy clothes and mustaches
cody loved all the different pieces to their train set.
it was even nice enough to play at the park a couple of times.
despite trying throughout the whole conference, i never found anyone who lived in beth's direction, so she was nice enough to drive all the way to salt lake to pick me up and turn around to drive back home. it was fun to have some time to chat in the car with her. i got to give cody a little snuggle when i got to beth's house, but isaac was out for the night.
i was sure happy to be back with my little boys in the morning.
cody got so good at building all kinds of fun things with beth and chris's toys while he was there.
we spent sunday at beth's house. the ogden temple was being dedicated (broadcast to beth and chris's stake), so we didn't have normal church. caitlin was old enough to go, so she went with her dad to the morning session. ashlee created a great primary for us complete with singing time, prayers, a lesson (she just needed a few reminders about keeping the lesson short for her young audience), and activity songs. we had great fun.
beth, mom, and i went to the temple dedication in the afternoon.
i was pretty wiped out from lack of sleep from late nights of convention stuff, so i took a good nap. while i was sleeping, the kids helped grandma make cookies - each in turn.
it was so fun to finally get out to wyoming and see beth and chris's house! i hope its not another 6 years before we make it there again!
