wrapping up august

just a few odds-and-ends to wrap up august.  ryan's remote control helicopter's battery has slowly died, so he's let it become one of the boys' toys.  if cody works the remote just right he can turn the light on and get the propellers to go around (not enough for lift off).  he pretty much thinks its the greatest thing ever.

ryan decided to make cookies with cody.  always a willing helper when cookies are involved!

we pulled out some of the next size up clothes for isaac in getting ready for our trip to arizona.  its hard to believe he's wearing the clothes that cody wore when isaac was born!  we took a picture of isaac in the beloved 'farmers'

i guess we haven't had watermelon for a while, so it was a bit of a new experience for isaac.  he eats it like i like to eat pizza - from the back.....

rind and all

our friends, the ford's, gave us some plant starts in the spring.  among them was a pumpkin plant.  we didn't really expect much, but we ended up getting a little pumpkin before the plant died in the heat.

and since i took a picture of cody holding the pumpkin, isaac thought he needed a picture taken too.

we're heading to arizona for a few weeks, so we thought a trip to get frozen yogurt with dad was in order.   always fun.

and delicious!
