bishop reunion 2016 - day 5

we began thursday morning with the well-beloved tradition of the pinata.  the kids all look forward to this every year and love the prizes they find inside.

lots of fun games were played with grandma, but i think 'farmer in the dell' was the most frequent.

once everyone was up and ready we headed just a couple miles down the road to hike fat man's loop (a hike ryan and i did several times when we lived in flagstaff)

all the kids did really well hiking together and only a few got tired near the end.  it always helps to have fun friends to hike with i think.

isaac stayed with me most of the time and we found some great 'caves' to rest in the shade.

chris and the kids spent lots of time here and there working on a reunion video.  it turned out so cute.

thursday evening was family pictures at one of the flagstaff parks, so to keep kids calm for a bit while everyone got ready...you can guess what we did.

once all the getting ready was done, grandma pulled out the sleeping bag cases she and i made for everyone.  they turned out exceptionally cute...if i do say so myself.

family pictures were fun and pretty quick.  i'll post all the pictures in a separate post.

lest we forget.  every night (except after the grand canyon when we all went to bed as soon as possible) we stayed up late playing all sorts of games.  one of my favorite things to do!  the kids are to the age now, too, that they entertain each other well so we can play games during the day.
