friday morning was a bit of a whirlwind as we had to get everything cleaned up, towels washed and dried, and all the cars loaded before we left (by 11). we had everything done pretty quick, but had to wait for a good chunk of time for the huge load of towels we did to finally dry. it was nice to just relax and play some games. all the adult girls caught some kind of bug while we were there. mom and i had it that morning, so we definitely enjoyed some time to just sit.
we headed back up to david's house for the afternoon. the kids had fun playing. cody found the doctor kit and checked everyone out.
the last big event of the reunion was an astros game in houston. the kids had a babysitter at david and julie's house while we all headed into houston again (except beth, who had the stomach bug at that time).
(sorry for the closed eye picture annie)
we had to do a bit of ticket switching because of dad's scooter and ended up having to sit in two different, but close areas. we actually tried to sit right by them in the huge amount of empty seats, but the usher in our area was not having any of that!
here's a picture from ryan, annie, chris, and my spot up higher. you can see dad's red shirt on the left there.
i guess julie had the same idea as me and took a picture of us from their vantage point.
at the end of the game they had a fun fireworks display and then we parted ways with mom and dad. they got a hotel on the outskirts on houston so that they could get an early start for home.
just to make sure this is recorded somewhere...
we headed back to the car with david, julie, annie, and chris (ryan and i rode to the stadium with mom and dad) after the game. chris was sure it would have been faster to go one direction out of the stadium, but david insisted it would be faster to go his way. after walking around three sides of the stadium, we finally got him to admit that chris was right - something that is nearly impossible for david to do. i tried to get it recorded, as its so rare, but in vain!
