i got a notice in the mail a couple of month ago about renewing my california speech license. i thought i was all caught up on my continuing education, but i figured i better check it out just in case. i discovered that i was in fact a bit behind and needed 24 hours of continuing ed before june 30. i started watching a lot of webinars during nap time and finally got a flier in the mail about a conference coming to houston (the first flier i've gotten that's not for something in arizona!). i figured i better go, since it counted for half of what i needed!
the conference was in downtown houston, so i asked julie if she could watch my boys for a day and a half and she graciously agreed! i went down wednesday night and stayed with the kids so david and julie could go to the temple. and they let me run up to the temple on thursday after my conference.

isaac is really into dancing lately and busts out every time he hears any music!
the conference was called 'teach me to talk' and was totally worth it. i'm so glad i went! i learned so much and i'm excited to pass it along to the slpa's i work with in california!
