beth and chris stayed with us saturday night and came with us to church on sunday. we went straight from church down to david and julie's house.
david and julie had dinner for that day, so while the adults helped get dinner organized and last minute things packed,

grandma kept the kids entertained and busy.
first they put on their own production of 'mrs wishy-washy' in the living room, complete with character masks and mud hole.
then they headed upstairs to practice for their bell choir.
to get the kids out of the house for a while, chris and annie were nice enough to brave the heat and take a trip down to the duck pond.
ryan tried sneaking in a little nap, interrupted only by little girls piling pillows on him over and over.
beth was a little worried about how molly would do around so many people she doesn't see too often - since she's a bit of a momma's girl. turns out she had no problems at all as she just gained two more mommys. we liked to play 'who is your mom?' and see which of us she came up with each time.
after two falls on the stairs (one resulting in a huge goose-egg on his eyebrow), we finally convinced isaac to just stay downstairs at david and julie's.
we headed down to surfside after dinner. caitlin wanted so badly to ride with us. beth figured we'd love to have someone keep our boys entertained anyway. little does she know that our boys are about the best car trippers around! they did have lots of fun exploring caitlin's backpack.
we got to the beach house with enough time for a quick snack before jammie time. grandma made all the girls matching nightgowns.
she sent me some fabric to make shorts for the boys to match grandpa and made herself shorts to match all the girls. they made quite a cute group!
the beach house was awesome and perfect for our big family. we had four bedrooms with a queen bed and triple high bunk beds. each bedroom had its own bathroom as well! annie slept in beth and chris' room and caitlin and ashlee slept in grandma and grandpa's room. it was nice to have some space for each family and a big living area on the first floor, not to mention a great kitchen!!
